Over 130 Nursing And Midwifery Posts Vacant At CUH And CUMH
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are now over 100 posts vacant at CUH and around 30 at CUMH.
The INMO says the HSE's recruitment ban has to go as figures reveal there are now over 1,300 funded nursing and midwifery posts vacant in acute hospitals across the country.
Most graduating nurses and midwives haven't received offers or contracts and are being turned away from understaffed hospitals.
INMO General Secretary, Phil Ní Sheaghdha says the talent is there, but the jobs aren't:
