Over 650 Delegates Attend UNESCO's Conference in Cork Today
More than 650 delegates from 92 countries attended the opening day of UNESCO's third International Conference on Learning Cities in Cork today.
It's the first time the global conference has been hosted in a European country, and will run until Wednesday.
16 cities including Limerick, Bristol, Giza, and Tunis were awarded the UNESCO Learning City Award in City Hall this morning.
Limerick received the award for lifelong learning initiatives and the economic progress and rejuvenation of the city over the past number of years.
