Parts of Cork City & County Underwater This Morning
Parts of the City and County are underwater this morning following the arrival of ex tropical storm Sebastian.
Gardaí say Morrison's Island, Fr Mathew Quay and Union Quay are flooded, while there is heavy surface water on parts of the South Mall and South Terrace.
Parts of Bantry town flooded at high tide however the water is now subsiding.
Fire Control say they received no calls relating to flooding in the city or county and there are no reports of any damage to property or injuries.
Both the City and County Council say they will continue to monitor surge and sea level forecasts until tomorrow.
Sand bags and gel-bags remain available at the council's depot on Anglesea Terrace and at Tramore Valley Park ahead of the next high tide at 5:13pm.
Drivers are being urged to use extreme caution this morning due to he possibly of spot flooding and debris on the roads
