Meanwhile the number of patients on trolleys in our hospitals is likely to increase heavily this week - according to the INMO.
440 people were waiting on a bed at lunchtime today.
One in 10 of those were in University Hospital Limerick - the most overcrowded in the country.
Last month the trolley crisis was at its worst at Cork University Hospital with 54 people on trolleys in one occasion.
Dave Hughes, Deputy General Secretary of the INMO, says the situation is being poorly managed.
