People not looking after their hearts says Irish Heart Foundation
Heart disease is the biggest killer in Ireland. 1,078 people died from heart disease in Cork in 2012 and the Irish Heart Foundation is highlighting the dangers of heart disease. It comes as the organisation is looking to recruit volunteers in the run up to their Happy Hearts appeal from the 15th to the 17th of May. This year the campaign is focusing on the importance of CPR training. An appeal for volunteers will be held in the Clarion Hotel in the city this evening from 6.30pm AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News, Regional Fundraising Manager for the Irish Heart Foundation, Anne O'Riordan says people aren't looking after their hearts.
