Performers And Musicians Need To Know Government's Pan To Restart Live Entertainment

That's according to musician and owner of the Cork based band J90, Ed McCarthy

The Music & Entertainment Association of Ireland claims that musicians and performers are furious because live entertainment has been closed for nearly 500 days.

The association says artists were clinging to the hope that these blanket rules would be eased for the summer months.

Speaking to RedFM News, Ed McCarthy of J90 says that entertainers are not looking for huge concerts, but rather a chance to begin performing in even a small capacity again:

"What's the plan? What's our goal? Where do we need to hit before a certain type of gig can go ahead? There's been absolutely nothing. At this stage, all we're asking is if there's an opportunity to let us perform, just give us a chance. Let us start with something. Let us do something. We're not asking for massive performances and packed rooms straight away. If there's any opportunity at all for us to get out and perform in any way, just give us a chance."
