The action due to take place on Wednesday 3rd February.
Lecturers at CIT who are members of the TUI are set to go on strike next month over a number of concerns they have in the sector.
It's part of a nationwide demonstration being held by lecturers at Institutes of Technology nationwide with the action due to take place on Wednesday 3rd February.
The Teachers Union of Ireland says their key concerns include chronic underfunding of the sector, a rise in student numbers when the amount of lecturers has dropped and the precarious nature of many lecturers' employment status.
Speaking to RedFM News, TUI President Gerry Quinn says they have been left with no other option but to strike.
