Planned Tesco strike called off
The action was due to get underway tomorrow.
An all-out strike at 70 Tesco stores tomorrow has been called off.
Representatives from Mandate Trade Union and Management at the company have been invited to attend talks at the Workplace Relations Commission.
A meeting between the parties will now take place on Friday.
The row at the company centres around pay and rosters for over 300 staff members who are on pre-1996 contracts.
630 workers at six Tesco stores across Cork were due to take part in the action.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Lorraine O'Brien of Mandate says the company haven't been able to provide a solid reason for the planned changes.
