Plans for Cork's long awaited flood defence scheme could be submitted for confirmation to the Minister for Public Expenditure before the end of the year..
That's according to the Office of Public Works who say they're currently working on some design changes to the €140 million scheme after the plans went on public display at the end of 2016
On foot of that exhibition planners are working on some changes in response to some of the suggestions made by the public around the Lee Fields, North Mall and Sullivan's Quay in particular
Speaking to RedFM News Ezra McManamon of the OPW says once these changes are completed the scheme will be submitted to the Minister
