Plans for the Glanmire Flood Relief scheme set to be unveiled

Plans for the Glanmire Flood Relief scheme are going on public view this afternoon.
Work on the €8 million flood relief scheme for the area is due to get underway next year.
Four years ago an estimated €2 million worth of damage was caused to over 60 homes and businesses when torrential rain forced the Glashaboy river to burst its banks.
All 48 houses in Meadowbrook Estate were flooded with some residents forced out of their homes for six months afterwards.
The plans will be on public display at the Vienna Woods hotel from 2pm to 8pm for the next number of days.
Minister with Responsibility for the OPW Sean Canney was in Cork this morning for the public exhibition of the plan and speaking to RedFM News he urged the public to go and view the details:
