Plans Have Been Lodged To Transform The Former Tourist Office On Grand Parade Into A 6-Storey Hostel
The site would become a 284-bed hostel
If approved, the site at 40-42 Grand Parade would be developed into a 48 room, 284-bed hostel, complete with toilet/shower facilities, a rooftop terrace, a social area, and bicycle storage.
A planning application has been lodged by Bluescape Limited, which would see the demolition of buildings to the rear of the former tourist office to allow for a six-storey extension.
In total, over 1,500 hotel and hostel beds are currently either planned or under construction in the City.
These include a 165-bed hotel nex to the Parnell Place bus station, as well as a 58-bed boutique hotel on South Mall at the former National Irish Bank building.
