The potential fallout from a disorderly Brexit has been highlighted Leeside after plans to redevelop a dockyard in the heart of Passage West were sunk this week
The owners of the 8 acre site-Doyle Shipping- have taken it off the market due to uncertainty around how the country's docks will operate post Brexit.
Plans for the site included the construction of residential and commercial units including an hotel.
It's also feared that a €1.9 million grant towards the purchase of the site will be lost.
Speaking to RedFM News, local Councillor Seamus McGrath says Councillors have requested a meeting with Port of Cork on the matter
