Over the past couple of weeks, Police Scotland has received a high number of letters and emails from members of the public in both Ireland and Scotland, expressing their appreciation for the work carried out on the Karen Buckley investigation.

The Senior Investigating Officer would like to acknowledge the public's kind words by sending an open letter to them.

Dear Sir/Madam

Throughout our investigation in to the death of Karen Buckley in Glasgow in April 2015 we received and continue to receive messages of appreciation from people in Ireland.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone for taking the time to contact us and for their thanks and continued support. It is very much appreciated by myself and the dedicated team of officers who are involved in the investigation.
