Pope Francis Confirms Visit To Ireland
Pope Francis will make the first papal visit to Ireland in 40 years.
It is thought that the 81-year-old will arrive in Ireland on August 25th and take part in the Festival of Families in Croke Park. He will then be the chief celebrant at a mass at Pheonix Park on August 26th bringing an end to the World Meeting of Families 2018 event.
There is speculation that the Pope will also visit Northen Ireland however the full details of his schedule will be released at a later date.
