The Port of Cork is exploring the options of establishing a second cruise berth in Cobh

All cruise operations are currently handled in Cobh, Ireland's only dedicated cruise berth, however the success of this year's season has prompted the expansion plans

The cruise liner business this year was worth over €12 Million to the local economy 

Just one more cruise ship is due to visit in December and is set to become the 92nd cruise liner to visit the Port of Cork this year 

This year's cruise season has been described as the most significant ever - up 30% on last year -  with over 157,000 passengers and 69,000 crews stepping ashore in Cork this summer
