Preparations Are Underway For A 34KM Cycle Lane Between Watergrasshill And Mitchelstown

The project is set to cost an estimated €200,000

Preparations are underway for the development of a 34km cycle lane between Watergrasshill and Mitchelstown.

There's hope that the 200.000 euro project will be ready to get underway in advance of getting funding from a number of bodies to develop the cycle lane.

There's increased anticipation for the project as more and more people choose to leave their cars at home in favour of cycling to and from work.

It's now expected consultations will take place with engineers from the National Roads Design Office, based in Glanmire, on how to design the cycle lanes
