President "honoured" to be given Freedom of Cork City
President Michael D Higgins says he's privileged to have received the freedom of Cork city at a ceremony yesterday Michael D Higgins become the sixth president of Ireland to receive the Freedom of Cork city at City hall yeseterday Other recipients of the honour have included John F Kennedy, Roy Keane and Michael Flatley. It's the President's second official visit Leeside - he travelled to Cork to meet with traders in February who were hit by two severe floods.
