Price war could be on the cards following green light for Norweigian Air
Cork Airport says the news that Norweigian Air has been given the green light for it's Cork/US airlink may lead to a price war on the transatlantic corridor.
The low fares airline has been involved in a three year battle to get the licence to operate off the ground, but Cork Airport management say Friday night's news means that tickets are now expected to go on sale at the end of January.
Flights are expected to operate four times a week in the Summer and three times a week in the Winter time.
It's believed the first flight to Boston will take off in the first week in July.
