Probe Into Alleged Fraud By Property Tax Helpline Worker
Separate investigations are underway following an alleged fraud attempt by a Property Tax helpline worker based in Cork. Abtran, which has offices in Curraheen and on the Model Farm Road, is the company that operates the helpline for Revenue. It came to their attention on Thursday that an employee answering calls to the public, had unnecessarily asked customers for credit card information. The employee has been suspended and the 11 people affected are being contacted.
