Cork Project Aimed At Tackling High Traveller Suicide Rates Proving Effective

The project was established after it emerged that traveller suicide rates are six times higher than in the settled community

There are an estimated 600 traveller families living in Cork city and surrounding areas and suicide was identified as most common in young Traveller men aged 15-25..
