Protestors urged to treat Irish water workers with respect

Minister Joan Burton is calling on protesters disrupting the installation of water meters to treat workers with "respect and dignity". Her comments come after residents of Ashbrook Heights in Lehanaghmore were among the first to refuse to allow Irish Water workers begin metering work in their estate earlier this week and last night the protests spread to Raheny in Dublin... A number of Ministers have come out to criticise the protests this morning - describing them as "unacceptable" The Social Protection Minister says contractors should be allowed to carry out their work.
