Public Being Asked For Their Opinion On Plans To Repair Fermoy Weir

The 19th century weir is a protected structure, however it has fallen in disrepair in recent years and needs significant work to restore it.
The County Council say water flowing freely over the weir is leading to significant erosion and prevent fishing from migrating upstream.
Locals say the weir is on the brink of collapse and say repair works are urgently needed.
