Public meeting on the vote for a directly elected Lord Mayor taking place in City Hall

A public meeting on the vote for a directly elected Lord Mayor is taking place in Cork City Hall this evening.

In 10-days time the people of Cork will be asked by plebiscite if they want to directly elect the Lord Mayor.

All the major political parties support a yes vote but today's meeting starting at 7.30pm will give impartial information from the chair of the plebiscite group, retired judge justice Henry Abbott.
