Puppies found in boot of car at Dublin port

Gardai siezed 14 puppies with a value in excess of €17,000 euro this afternoon at Dublin Port.


The puppies of various breeds, were found in the boot of a car containted in two small metal containers without food or ventilation.

A man in his early 20's was driving the car, and was unable to produce valid documentation for the animals who were expected to be sold in the UK.

The puppies are now in the care of the DSPCA and are receiving immediate veterinary care.
