RedFM's special report on the 1916 commemorations Leeside
Over three quarters of a million euro is being spent on 1916 events in Cork.
Cork is gearing up to hold the most 1916 commemoration events outside the capital this year.
Plans are being unveiled today by the City Council for the year ahead at City Hall and a talk about events in the county is also taking place at County Hall.
The events are expected to cost the local authorities Leeside well in excess of three quarters of a million euro.
