Renewed Calls For Progress On Cork Flood Defence Plans Following Flooding In Recent Days
Cork Chamber have called for immediate action to be taken to combat climate change following flooding in the city and county.
OPW plans for defences in the city centre have been criticised as 'a walls scheme' by campaign group Save Cork City who are calling for the construction of a tidal barrier in the lower harbour.
Low lying parts of the city were flooded yesterday morning and evening, however there was no damage to property.
Speaking to RedFM News, President of Cork Chamber Paula Cogan says the Chamber's membership are concerned by the lack of progress:
