Rent Rates In The City Centre Have Risen By 10% In The Past Year
That's according to the latest quarterly report from Daft.ie
The average cost of renting in the City Centre now stands at 1,331 euro.
Rates in Cork County have also risen, with a jump of 12.7% recorded in the past 12 months.
The report has also revelaed that only 2-thousand 700 homes were available to rent on May 1st, which is the lowest level in 13 years.
It also found that average rents now stand at an all-time high of 1-thousand 366 euro nationally.
Author of the report Ronan Lyons says there is too much of a focus on building family homes when apartments are needed:
