Residents Of Waterford Village "Numb" After Baby Killed By Dog Overnight
The three month old girl was attacked in her home in Clashmore in the early hours of this morning
She was treated by paramedics at the scene and brought to Cork University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out today.
Local Fine Gael Councillor Pat Nugent is appealing to the community to support the family:
"It's awful important that the community would rally together, their parents and grandparents, and it's awful important that the community would rally together for them in the immediate future, and in the months ahead."
