Restaurants Association of Ireland To Take Legal Challenge To Have Indoor Dining Allowed At Same Time As Hotels

Restaurants will be allowed to open for outdoor dining on June 7th but hotels are allowed to offer indoor dining from 2nd June under proposals before Cabinet

The Taoiseach is expected to make a state of the nation address just after 6 o'clock this evening where he will outline the easing of restrictions into the summer
It's expected that international travel will be allowed from July 19th for those deemed eligible under the new EU Digital Green Certificate system.

The number of people allowed at a wedding will be increased to 50 from early July, before going to 100 in August.

Meanwhile, The Vintners Federation of Ireland says pubs should be allowed open earlier than July 5th.

Chief Executive, Padraig Cribben says the 1m length of stay rule for customers should also be scrapped:

"We would certainly be disappointed that it's not before that weekend. We think that would be important. And allied to that, I think when government do finally make a decision on this, they should also look at the time restriction for indoor at 1m that should be done away with also."
