Restaurants Association to meet with Government

The Restaurants Association of Ireland says all options are on the table for the return of indoor dining.

They're hoping to find a solution by July 19th and could include antigen testing and Covid passes to facilitate it.

A working group will now be established and begin work next week.

Adrian Cummins from the Restaurants Association of Ireland says it’s the first time they’ve met the Government since the pandemic began.

"We need to have key dates, targets.

"We cannot miss those dates,  because then the whole trust factor breaks down between our industry and the government itself.

"We're going to hold the government to account, we want to get open - the 19th of July is the next key date."
