Rise in vandalism in Gurranabraher blamed on lack of Gardai on the beat

Locals say there has been an increase in joy riding and vandalism in particular

Local politicans are attributing a rise in anti social behaviour in Gurranabraher to a lack of gardai on the ground.

In recent weeks residents have complained about an increase in joy riding and vandalism in particular around the Church of the Ascension and a nearby open space

Local councillors say the lack of garda resources have resulted in similar complaints right across the city and that the issues in Gurranabraher have escalated in recent weeks
