Road closed after fatal collision in West Cork
A woman in her 60s has died following a road traffic collision in West Cork.
The incident happened at Baxters Cross just before lunchtime today.
A man in his 60s was also seriously injured in the incident.
Gardai have not released the name of the dead woman but she was living in West Cork even though she is not native to the area and gardai are trying to make contact with family living abroad.
And they have appealed to anyone who was travelling the road and witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage of the collision to contact them at Bandon Garda Station on 023-8852200.
