Rob Heffernan Is Reunited With His Gold Medal
Rob Heffernan's gold medal was stolen in Dublin yesterday morning. The drama unfolded at around 7am when a taxi man contacted the Togher athlethes's agent and informed him he was offered the medal for sale by a Romanian gypsy. It's believed the world champion's medal was taken from his car which was parked in Dublin. Rob contaced gardai and they carried out an undercover sting operation to get the medal back. Rob was reunited with his gold medal yesterday afternoon and garda are investigating the matter.
