Robust Traffic Management System In Place For Weekend At Pairc Ui Chaoimh

The Cork County Board has moved to allay fears about traffic management at Cork's newest stadium Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
It's after Cork City Council expressed concerns about traffic and parking arrangements after the first game at the €70 million venue on Wednesday evening.
Over 10,000 people attended the fixture between Valley Rovers and Blarney in the 45,000 capacity venue however a number of complaints from local residents and commuters were reported.
A Bus Éireann service was rerouted as a result of traffic congestion in the area and the company contacted gardaí and Páirc Uí Chaoimh event management.
In a statement this morning a spokesman for Cork County Board told RedFM News that there was a full review of issues pertaining to last Wednesday's fixture at Pairc Ui Chaoimh and the board is satisfied that robust systems are in place for the upcoming weekend and additional information requested by Cork City Council is being provided.
Speaking to RedFM News ahead of the first game this week County Board chairman Ger Lane says they had met with gardaí and had all necessary plans in place:
