Ryanair's Decision To Withdraw From Cork Airport From Mid-November To Mid-December "Soul-Destroying"
That's according to the President of Cork Chamber Paul Cogan
Paula Cogan says the airline's announcement will have a deep impact on tourism, hospitality, arts and aviation across Cork and the wider region.
Ryanair confirmed yesterday that they are grounding flights at Cork Airport from November 14th until December 12th, with operations to resume on December thirteenth.
The company has accused the government of 'mismanaging' air travel, leading to a 'total collapse' in demand.
While the Department of Transport called it 'not entirely unexpected' with low booking numbers expected through the winter.
