Save Cork City Describes Latest Images Of Proposed €140 million Cork Flood Relief Scheme As A Form Of 'Spin'

The group say the overall approach of the plan for 15 kilometres of flood defences from Ballincollig to the city is outdated and have called for a tidal barrier to be built in Cork Harbour

The OPW and City Council issued a joint statement yesterday rejecting suggestions that the plan is a 'walls scheme' that will damage the heritage of the City and say flood barriers will not block people from seeing the river.

Speaking to RedFM News, John Hegarty from Save Cork City says while some changed have been made, the plan remains fundamentally flawed
