Schull set for €2m boost as Fastnet Film Festival gets underway

Schull is in line for a €2 million boost to the local economy as its second busiest week of the year gets underway in the West Cork village.

The Fastnet Film Festival is being launched in a new dedicated Film centre in the village this evening with hundreds of visitors as well as high profile names in the film industry expected to descend on Schull over the coming days.
Hilary McCarthy of the Fastnet Film Festival told RedFM News that the festival is of huge importance to Schull's profile.
