Services at Bus Eireann remain at a standstill

Staff at Bus Eireann are continuing strike action for a third day

Concern is being raised that a strike at Bus Éireann could escalate.

Services are at a standstill again as workers strike over the company's cost cutting plans.

The indefinite action is said to be costing the operator hundreds of thousand of euro each day as it says insolvency is now imminent.

Solidarity TD Mick Barry says the Transport Minister needs to step up and sort it out.
