Shandon Clock fully repaired
The repair of Shandon Clock is complete and has been restored to full working order... The clock stopped working nine months ago and despite the issue being raised with the City Council it remained out of action until RedFM launched a campaign to raise the cash needed to fund the repairs.. In May the Council announced that finance was being made available to repair the clock and awarded the repair contract to the city based Stokes, Clocks and watches.. Repair work on the Shandon Clock which is over 160 years old, has been ongoing since the middle of June and a number of parts had to be made in particular to repair the quarter hour strike...
