Sharp Increase In Burglaries In Cork According To CSO

New Figures from the CSO have shown a sharp increase in burglaries in the City.
The figures to the end of June show 628 burglaries were recorded in the city's 13 stations, an increase of 34% on the same period the year before.
In the North Cork Division, the towns of Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Cobh, Midleton and Youghal recorded a 15% increase in home break-ins.
While the towns of Bandon, Bantry, Clonakilty and Macroom recorded an increase of 27%.
The CSO also found that burglaries were up 19% in the Garda Southern Region of Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
