Simon Coveney calls for clarity to resolve the public's fears about water charges.

Clarity is needed to resolve the public's fears about water charges. That's according to Cork's Simon Coveney who says that a fair system is needed where those who use the most water pay for it as opposed to a system of general taxation. It comes after another Cork housing estate staged a protest against the installation of water meters last week. Residents of Rushbrooke Manor in Cobh joined a number of other estates across the city including Ashbrook Heights in Lehanaghmore in their stance against water charges and have vowed to continue their protest for as long as it takes.
