Sinn Féin Request Debate On United Ireland

Sinn Féin wants to see a real debate take place about the possibility of a united Ireland.

The party says Northern Ireland's vote to stay in the EU after the recent BREXIT vote, indicates that the north doesn't want to separate its ties from the Republic.

Sinn Féin held a rally on the issue in Dublin last night, where hundreds of people attended in support of their call for a united Ireland.

The party's Matt Carthy, says the Good Friday Agreement of 1998 provides a mechanism for both sides of the Irish border to vote on the issue:
