Discussions are taking place around it's future potential.
The future potential of a 37-acre site at Cork airport is being examined.
It's one of the initiatives in the pipeline to support growth at the airport which has experienced a 5% decline in passenger numbers.
It's been reported today that the land could act as an extension to the Airport Business Park providing extra revenue to help reduce landing charges.
AUDIO: However speaking to RedFM News Head of Communications at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says discussions about the site are at an early stage and nothing has been decided yet.
