Situation 'Under Control' As Cork Fire Brigade Tackle Blaze Aboard The LE Niamh
A fire broke out on the Cobh-based ship earlier this afternoon
The Naval Service have confirmed to RedFM that there is an ongoing incident onboard the vessel in Cobh.
It's believed the fire broke out on the LE Niamh as it was docked at a terminal in Rushbrook just before 12.30pm.
Noone was aboard the ship when the fire broke out and no injuries have been confirmed this afternoon.
5 units of Cork's Fire Brigade are currently bringing the blaze under control, including four units from Midleton and one unit from Cobh.
