Six Arrests Made In West Cork As Part Of Operation Thor
Six people were arrested in West Cork yesterday as part of Operation Thor.
The arrests were made in relation to recent incidents of burglary, theft, possession of drugs for sale or supply, suspected drug driving and criminal damage.
Four of the men were charged and have appeared before Clonakilty District Court, while a fifth man is due to appear at a later date.
Checkpoints were carried out on the N71, Toureen, Ballinhassig and in Dunmanway.
The arrests coincided with a European-wide campaign to highlight house burglaries and the release of figures which show that 210 burglaries were reported in the Cork city division since the start of the year
