Soaring rent prices and lack of accommodation in Cork are making people homeless

That's according to housing charity Focus Ireland who cited the shortage of housing supply in Cork as a major concern

Rent prices in Cork city have increased by 10% in the year to March 2017 and families struggling with rent prices will not report any landlords who raise rent in rent cap zones for fear of loosing their home.

Speaking to RedFM News Ger Spillane of Focus Ireland says there needs to be more incentives for landlords to provide social housing to tackle the crisis.
