Sports Minister Makes Scathing Remarks on 'Rotten Culture' At OCI

A light has been shone on the ‘unknown rotten culture at the heart of the OCI’, according to the Sport Minister.

Shane Ross is due to speak at the Oireachtas Committee on Sport shortly, where he’ll say that the Moran report into the Rio Olympics ticketing scandal has highlighted shameful standards of corporate governance under Patrick Hickey’s presidency.

Minister Ross will also say that Mr Hickey was more concerned with commercial interests than athletes, their families and Irish supporters.

Fine Gael’s Fergus O’Dowd chairs the Committee;
