St Vincent De Paul Spent €100,000+ Since Last September On Struggling Cork Students

The organisation says it has been helping Cork students who are struggling to afford to stay in college
St Vincent de Paul say they have spent in excess of €100,000 since last September to help Cork students who are struggling to afford to stay in college.
The charity says on average ten students are visiting them every Wednesday seeking help to stay in college and avoid dropping out.
According to the Money Advice And Budgeting Service costs for third level students are now between €7,000 and €14,000 every year.
Speaking to RedFM News Regional Coordinator for SVP in Cork and Kerry Gerry Garvey says students are struggling and the situation is deteriorating every year:
