Staff at Cork waste firm face anxious wait on their futures
Gates of Healy's Blue Bins closed this morning as negotiations continue inside Staff staging a sit-in at a waste firm in Blackrock are anxiously awaiting to find out if their jobs are secure. It comes after Healy's Blue Bins staff were told this morning in a meeting with management that some of the company's operations are being taken over by Country Clean. It's uncertain who will be kept on as only some of the 25 workers affected by the companies closure received texts to attend the meeting today. Healy's Blue Bins is facing losses of some 2 million euro and at this early stage it's expected that not all staff will gain employment with the new firm with up to 17 staff members still facing the prospect of losing their jobs...
