Staff bearing the brunt of overcrowding crisis in Cork A&E's

Nurses are being forced to work in intolerable conditions in the city's emergency hospitals due to the overcrowding crisis. That's according to nursing unions who say the overcrowding issue is now a national emergency and require an immediate and sustained response. In a 12 month period there has been a 44% increase in the number of patients being treated on trollies in hospitals and no firm efforts are being made to resolve the situation.
